Thomas Harrington

Thom is the Humanities and Philosophy Teacher at Tombolo Academy. Having previously worked in secondary schools in the United Kingdom, Thom has developed a keen interest in working with students to ensure their needs are met and that learning can take place in a positive, inclusive and supportive environment, providing optimal outcomes for students.

Thom is passionate about teaching, reading, culture, art and philosophy – as well as promoting inclusion and diversity. He has championed Pride Celebration events, created inclusion curriculums for schools and been nominated for an education award for inclusion and diversity in England.

Thom is currently learning Spanish and enjoys all things humanities, whether it be promoting the education of philosophy on the national stage, or working closely with parents, students, colleagues and services to provide optimal learning environments.
