While they may have diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or be identified as twice exceptional (2e), we believe these labels are just one part of their story.

Learning
Tombolo Academy’s approach to learning is centred on personalised education and relationship-based teaching. We focus on small class sizes, flexible learning spaces, and movement breaks tailored to neurodiverse needs.
Our curriculum incorporates innovative strategies to support academic and personal growth. We use SOLO Taxonomy to develop and assess critical thinking, guiding students through stages of understanding from basic knowledge to advanced, interconnected concepts. Additionally, we offer Micro-Credentials to recognise specific skill development and provide resilience training to help students navigate challenges confidently.
Eligibility
At Tombolo Academy, we cater to students who have become disconnected from learning in mainstream settings. Our school is designed for students from Year 3 to Year 10 who face challenges due to learning differences, such as ASD, ADHD, and General Anxiety Disorder (GAD). We provide a personalised, supportive educational environment where students’ unique needs are met, empowering them to reconnect with learning and achieve their full potential.
