Teachers

  • Being prepared and having the courage to be challenged to have to seek new information, sometimes mid-sentence,
  • Persons who share their passions with students as guides, not as teachers,
  • Almost fanatical desire to elicit positive change in a student and their environments.

Such teachers must:

  • Live with gifted and/or to have studied an area of giftedness,
  • Be willing to engage in further study,
  • Have an energetic personality but not necessarily be an extravert,
  • Be happy thinking on your feet.

Such teachers are asked to deliver:

  • Curriculum that is beyond the traditional,
  • Curriculum (or Content) designed to include creativity, independence, problem-solving,
  • Enrichment but not always as an extension,
  • High quality, real-world tasks,
